TOU Privacy Policy

Effective October 16, 2026

TOU ("Two of Us") is a Windows desktop app. This policy explains what it uses, where data goes, and what stays on your computer. The makers of TOU do not run servers that collect your data, and do not sell or share personal data.

Services TOU contacts

Each of these services has its own privacy policy.

The TOU website and your TOU (optional)

If you press “Connect” on the official TOU website and allow it in TOU's own window, that page in your browser sends what you type to TOU on your own PC, over 127.0.0.1 (your computer talking to itself), and shows LK's answer. Nothing of it passes through the makers of TOU. No other website can connect. Anything that changes your PC still needs your approval in TOU itself. The page keeps a random key in your browser; TOU keeps only a fingerprint of it, and forgets it when you disconnect or after 90 days.

Children

TOU is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal data.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is posted on this page with a new date.
